A member of the Meridian M5000 Series of quality telephones, the Meridian M5209 Business Set combines full display capabilities with flexibility and sophisticated features. Designed to meet today’s demanding business communications needs, the M5209’s convenience and easy-to-use operation make it ideal for busy professionals in virtually any field.

 

The Meridian M5209 Business Set incorporates a 2 X 24-character alphanumeric liquid crystal display (LCD) window which provides quick identification of calling and called numbers, as well as calling and called names where available. Its many convenient features, standard to Meridian Series telephones, make communication easier than ever in today’s high-pressure workplace.

 

Mounted at the rear top edge of the M5209 Business Set, the display module is hinged so that the user can adjust the viewing angle to maximize contrast and reduce possible glare.

 

Compatible with the DMS-100 Digital Switching system, the Meridian M5209 offers a number of time-saving freatures. Among them are On-hook Dialing, which makes it possible to dial a number without lifting the handset, then monitor call progress through the telephone’s speaker until the other party answers.

 

In addition to standard Volume Control, Hold and Release keys, the Meridian M5209 incorporates nine programmable keys which can be assigned directory numbers or system features such as call transfer, conferencing and speed calling. This makes it easy for users to customize their M5209 Business Sets by choosing the features that best enhance the efficiency and productivity of their particular office situations.

 

Each programmable key is equipped with an LCD indicator which signals line/feature status. If additional features or line appearances are needed, the set connects easily to the M518 or M536 Add-on Module.

 

If the local power supply fails, the set reverts to central office loop powering and provides the full functionality of an M5009.
